WTBA membership is based on companies, meaning new members apply on behalf of their overall organization and pay a flat fee (detailed below) regardless of how many employees your company has. 

Member companies are allowed as many individual employee member sub-accounts as they'd like once their initial Master Account is created.

There are three WTBA member types, each listed below.  You'll be asked to choose a member type when you fill out your application.

Remember: when initially applying for membership, you are filling out information for your company, not individual employees.

Associate ($500) members are companies that provide services to contract members. Services can range from parts and equipment suppliers to legal and financial guidance.

Consultant ($1,000) members are generally engineering firms that provide design and project guidance throughout the lifecycle of a project.

Contractor ($500) members are companies that typically work on transportation construction sites as prime or subcontractors and generally fall into one (or several) of five categories: Asphalt, concrete, bridges, aggregate producers, and earthmovers.

Additional assessments are paid by Prime Contractors — WTBA Contractor Members who are chosen as low bidders on contracts for transportation projects let by WisDOT or other Wisconsin public entities when financed in whole or in part by the State of Wisconsin or federal funds attributed to Wisconsin. Transportation project means highway, bridge, bicycle/pedestrian facility, airport, mass transit or railroad project. The amount subject to assessment is equal to the sum of state funds, federal funds attributed to Wisconsin and any local matching funds.

• First $20 million: 0.25%
• Next $10 million (up to $30 million): 0.15%
• Next $10 million (up to $40 million): 0.10%
• Next $10 million (up to $50 million): 0.05%
• Remaining amount over $50 million: 0.025%

Note: All WTBA membership dues are 100% tax deductible.  WTBA pays the proxy tax on behalf of its members for all lobbying and political expenditures.

IMPORTANT: If you are applying for a new company account, please create a username for your company's master account (each company gets only one).
